SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED IN MEMORY OF LONGTIME IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE PROFESSOR

A scholarship, established at Iowa Lakes Community College in memory of one of its longtime professors, has been awarded for the 2004 – 2005 college year.

This year’s recipient of the Dennis Hageman Scholarship is Cory Christensen of Ringsted.

For 33 years, Hageman enriched the lives of students at Iowa Lakes Community College. Hageman taught mainly at the Estherville Campus from 1967 until his retirement in 2000. Hageman served in a wide variety of capacities in the Social Sciences Department at Iowa Lakes Community College such as Counselor, Department Chair, Professor and Summer School Coordinator.

The Dennis Hageman Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student planning to transfer to a four-year university who possesses and maintains a 3.0 GPA and shows financial need.
