IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE
VOLLEYBALL TEAM NAMED
2004-2005 NJCAA ACADEMIC TEAM
Iowa Lakes Community College’s Volleyball team
was recently named one of the Fall Academic
Teams of the Year from the National Junior
College Athletic Association.
The NJCAA annually recognizes athletic teams who
have distinguished themselves on a national
level through performance and achievement. The
minimum grade point average requirement for
consideration was 3.00. The Iowa Lakes
Volleyball team boasts an average grade point of
3.53, earning seventh place in the list of over
42 volleyball teams from across the nation being
recognized as an Academic Team.
“Their success wasn’t limited to just the court
– but also the academic field,” said Scott
Tschetter, head volleyball coach. “It’s simply a
reflection of their hard work and dedication in
academics – and athletics.”

The last time Iowa Lakes’ Volleyball team
received this honor was in 1997.
