IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE NEW BEGINNINGS SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED

Iowa Lakes Community College has announced the establishment of a new scholarship as a direct result of the college’s “We Believe In Us” Annual Giving Program.

Each year a drawing is held among the Iowa Lakes’ employees who participate in the annual giving program. The selected employee sets criteria for a scholarship, which is then offered to students in the upcoming academic year. The employee selected to design this year’s scholarship is Kathy Cornwall, Broadcast Media Instructor, at the Estherville Campus.

Cornwall has named this scholarship “New Beginnings” for incoming freshmen students in mass communications at Iowa Lakes Community College. Eligible candidates must be traditional or non-traditional students enrolled for 2005-06 in the Broadcast Media Specialist, Journalism & Photography or Graphic Design Technology Programs at the Estherville Campus. Student must also display financial need and have a satisfactory GPA.
