SPRING SEMESTER CLASSES STILL OPEN AT IOWA LAKES

Spring semester classes at Iowa Lakes Community College will begin Jan. 11 - and most classes still have openings. 

According to Julie Carlson, Dean of Enrollment Management, students are encouraged to register as soon as possible since some programs fill up fast.

Students may select from daytime, evening or weekend classes as well as online courses such as eCollege or Ed-to-Go courses.  In addition, courses are available via College by Cassette, a series of classes available on videotape.  Also, several Fast Track courses are planned for spring break and students may sign up now for those classes.

Iowa Lakes offers more than 100 areas of study. In addition, the college provides training and retraining to employees of area business and industry as well as continuing education courses.

Potential students are reminded that college offices will be closed starting at noon on Dec. 23. Offices re-open at 8 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2006.

Late registration for spring classes will occur Jan. 5, 6, 9 and 10.
