IOWA LAKES SIGNS WAPSIE VALLEY STANDOUT

Iowa Lakes Community College Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Jason Vande Brake, has announced the signing of Kurt Hesse to a National Junior College Letter of Intent.

Hesse, a 6’3” shooting guard averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Head Coach Marty McKowen’s Warriors.  The Readlyn native helped guide the Warriors to their 2^nd consecutive trip to the state tournament while being selected as a 1^st and 2^nd team all-stater by the Iowa Newspaper Association and The Des Register.  Hesse was also honored as the NICL conference MVP.  

Kurt is the son of Ken Hesse.  He is enrolled in the Associate of Arts Degree program at Iowa Lakes.
