Iowa
Lakes Softball signs Arizona Pitcher
Iowa Lakes
Community College Head Softball Coach Mike Bosch
has announced the signing of Margo Schramm, a
pitcher from Tucson, Ariz., to a National Junior
College letter of intent.
Schramm
has three times been named All-Southern Arizona
and was named one of the top 10 juniors in
Southern Arizona in 2003. Schramm currently
plays for the Arizona 18U Gold Bandits. She was
a 2004 graduate from Catalina Foothills High
School and has previously played 18 and Under
club softball for the Gold Coast Hurricanes out
of Florida and the Tucson Knockouts out of
Arizona.
“We are
very excited to have Margo coming to Iowa
Lakes,” commented Coach Bosch, “and we are
getting a quality player with a great deal of
experience. She is a great young lady who will
fit into what we are trying to accomplish as a
softball team. I believe that she can help our
pitching staff become one of the best in the
region. I think everyone involved with the Iowa
Lakes softball program will be excited to see
her in blue and gold next season.”
Margo is
the daughter of Susan and Joe of Phoenix,
Ariz. Schramm will be enrolled in the Arts and
Science program at the Estherville campus.
Schramm
joins a Laker program that went 37-22 last
season and finished the season ranked #14 in the
final NJCAA poll. For more information on Iowa
