GREAT LAKES FALL SOFTBALL LEAGUE TO START SOON

The second annual Great Lakes Fall Softball League starting date has been set.  Beginning September 12, area girls' fastpitch softball teams will compete for title of Great Lakes Fall Champion.  Spirit Lake won the 2003 league title by defeating Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in the title game.

Games will be conducted on Sunday afternoons and will run through early October.  Each team will play two games each Sunday for the first five weeks and then the teams will be bracketed for the final Sunday of play.  The league will be scheduled and organized by Mike Bosch, head softball coach at Iowa Lakes Community College.  Contact Coach Bosch at 712-362-7997 or at mbosch@iowalakes.edu to inquire about more details or to sign up.
