IOWA LAKES SHOW CHOIR FESTIVAL PLANNED

On Thursday, Jan. 22, and Friday, Jan. 23, 20 area high school show choirs and jazz choirs will participate in the 2004 Iowa Lakes Show Choir Festival.  The show choirs will perform and receive comments from a clinician.

The choirs will perform between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days in the gymnasium on the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.  The public is invited to watch any of the swing choirs perform and there is no admission charge.

The following High Schools will be participating in the festival: Algona, Cherokee, Eagle Grove, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Harris-Lake Park, Laurens-Marathon, North Kossuth, Norwalk, Okoboji, Sheldon, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Spencer and Spirit Lake.  The schedule for the festival follows:

  Jan. 22  School  Performance (gym)

  Okoboji- Dynamic Divas 8:40 a.m.
  Laurens-Marathon 9:20 a.m.
  Emmetsburg – Black & Gold 10:00 a.m.
  Cherokee– Washington HS 10:40 a.m.
  Norwalk– Jazz Revue 11:20 a.m.
  Webster City– Music ‘n Motion 12:15 p.m.
  Emmetsburg– High Voltage 12:55 p.m.
  Sheldon– Orab Intensity Co. 1:35 p.m.
