IOWA LAKES JAZZ CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

 

The second day of competition in the 29^th Annual Jazz Band Contest at Iowa Lakes Community College has been completed. Winners from today are listed below:

 

Class 1A
1.      Southern Cal High School – Tom Plummer, Director
2.      Sioux Central High School – Rod Shedenhelm Director
2.      Kingsley-Pierson High School – Randy Washburn, Director

Class 4A
1.      Sioux City North I – Larry Kisor, Director
2.      Sioux City North II – Kevin Linder, Director
3.      Sioux City North III – Larry Kisor, Director

On Thursday, class 3A bands will compete.

The public is invited to attend any or all of the activities.  All contests are in the Gymnasium on the Estherville Campus.  There is no admission charge.  Carol Ayres, Professor of Instrumental Music at Iowa Lakes is in charge of the event.
