IOWA LAKES JAZZ CONTEST LINEUP ANNOUNCED

Around 1,000 students will travel to Iowa Lakes Community College later this month to test their jazz skills.

On Tuesday, January 27 through Thursday, January 29, the Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department will host its 29th Annual Jazz Band Contest.  Forty-four bands from 40 schools will compete for the top three places in each of five divisions. 

Area bands competing this year include: ((See attached list for schools, date and time of performance.))

The public is invited to attend any or all of the activities.  All contests will be in the Gymnasium on the Estherville Campus this year.  There is no admission charge.  Carol Ayres, Professor of Instrumental Music at Iowa Lakes, is in charge of the event.
