the tim higgins Memorial Scholarship

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2003-04 Tim Higgins Memorial Scholarship to Aarron Cronin of Marcus, Iowa.

Family members established this scholarship in memory of a loved one with a passion for farming.  Tim Higgins of Galva was a farmer involved in a fatal accident at a young age.  He truly felt farming was a great way of life.  The family feels that Tim would have wished to give back to agriculture and provide an opportunity for a student to enjoy farming, just as he did.  Candidates must be enrolled full time at Iowa Lakes in an agriculture program possessing a 2.0 GPA or better.
