IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION
WELCOMES DON SCHILTZ AS BOARD MEMBER

The Iowa Lakes Community College Institutional Advancement/Foundations Office has announced Don Schiltz of Algona has joined the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation Board of Directors.

Schiltz is well known as an Algona businessman.  He is the President and CEO of KOFAB.  His wife, Sharon, is Vice President while their three sons and son-in-law serve as part of the management team.  KOFAB manufactures customer food processing and material handing equipment along with developing new products.  Many of their products are utilized primarily in bakeries and meat processing plants.  During the past 20 years, KOFAB has expanded into two facilities in Algona, one being the fabrication plant and the second the machine plant.

Schiltz states as his reason for joining the Foundation Board, "I would like to play a small part in making possible an opportunity for our young people to succeed in life".

Don with his wife Sharon are long time residents of Algona.  He serves on the Algona Municipal Utilities Board and is involved in the Baking Equipment Manufacturers Association.  In the past Schiltz has been involved in a variety of community projects.

The Foundation Board serves the Iowa Lakes Community College district supporting the education and development needs of the college students by providing funds and other resources not available through public funding. Throughout the year the Foundation hosts various fundraising events such as Scholarship Golf Outings, Dinner Theaters and the "We Believe In Us" Annual Giving Program for the betterment of the college.
