stimulus Scholarships
Iowa Lakes Community College
has awarded the 2003-04 Nursing Workforce Personnel Stimulus
Scholarships.
The recipients are Jennifer
Quinn of Armstrong; Sandra Hill and Angi Hill of Arnolds Park;
Kory Champine of Dolliver; Michelle Firkins and Colleen Hart of
Emmetsburg; Renee Kautz of Estherville, Ashley Jensen of
Graettinger; Anna Dammann of Marcus; Patricia Miller of Spencer;
and, Tiffany Johnson of Swea City.
These scholarships were
funded by a grant from the Iowa Department of Public Health with
matching fund commitments from Avera Holy Family Health in
Estherville, Palo Alto County Health System in Emmetsburg, Kossuth
Regional Health Center in Algona and Spencer Hospital. The goal
of this grant was to focus on recruitment and retention of current
or prospective nurses, thereby addressing the nursing workforce
shortage in Iowa. The Nursing Workforce Personnel Stimulus
Scholarships were finalized with these awards and will not be
available in 2004-05.

applying for Iowa Lakes Community College Scholarships are
