PLAN AHEAD FOR PURCHASING
COLLEGE TEXTBOOKS
Students at Iowa Lakes Community College are
encouraged to plan ahead when buying textbooks
for spring classes.
“We’d like to encourage students to get their
books prior to the start of the semester,” said
Sandra Naig, Bookstore Coordinator. “Longer
lines tend to form the closer to the start of
the semester.”
Naig wants to remind students of the college’s
hours in the next few weeks since there will be
days the Bookstores will operate on limited
hours or are closed.
Currently, bookstores at the Emmetsburg and
Estherville campuses will be open Monday through
Friday up until noon, Dec. 23. The college will
be closed Dec. 24 - Jan. 2. Offices and
bookstores open again on Jan. 3 and will operate
from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday;
and from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays.
There is one exception to the schedule this
spring. On Tuesday, Jan. 11, college offices and
the bookstores will be closed the day prior to
the start of classes for an essential staff
in-service for future accreditation of the
college.
Students receiving financial aid are eligible to
purchase their books starting Jan. 3. Students
paying for their books directly may buy their
books anytime. In addition, students buying
their own books may also shop online at:
www.iowalakesbookstore.com.
Anyone with questions about bookstore hours is
encouraged to call 1-800-242-5108 ext. 290.
