SYVERSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT NAMED

The scholarship recipient of the Duane Syverson Memorial Scholarship has been named.

This year’s recipient is Nicholas Ohnmacht of Blanchard.

Duane Syverson’s wife, Marilyn, and family members established this scholarship in an effort to encourage others to enjoy a career in construction. Duane worked in the Estherville area for over 40 years as a mason doing concrete and brick work.

A qualified candidate for this scholarship must be an incoming freshman (traditional or non-traditional), enrolled full time in the Construction Technology Program with a GPA in good standing.

Those interested in applying for Iowa Lakes Community College Scholarships are encouraged to do so by April 1, 2005.
