ADDITIONAL FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARS
AT IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE

More honor roll students will want to take a look at Iowa Lakes Community College – thanks to additional dollars which are now available for Presidential Scholars.

Presidential Scholars are those students who have a 3.5 GPA (or better); an ACT score of 25 (or better); rank in the top 10 percent of their class; and, are pursuing an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree from Iowa Lakes. Those who are interested in a Technical or Vocational career are eligible with a 3.25 GPA (or better) and a score of 20 or above on their ACT.

Students who meet two of those qualifications listed can receive 60 percent of tuition free. Those who were the second ranking graduate in their class (Salutatorians) are eligible for 80 percent tuition free. Valedictorians (first ranking grads) are eligible for a 100 percent tuition free.

The Presidential Scholars program is an academic challenge structured for talented students. Members gather periodically to take part in cultural, intellectual and aesthetic activities. They also qualify for Presidential Scholars recognition at commencement exercises.
