LONNI PATTEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT NAMED

The Lonni Patten Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to an Iowa Lakes Community College student.

Kayla VanMaanen of Rock Valley was selected as the recipient for 2004-2005.

The scholarship was named in memory of Lonni Patten, a caring and dedicated Child Care and Early Childhood Program student at Iowa Lakes Community College until the time of her death. Several members of her family, friends and Iowa Lakes employees established the endowed Lonni Patten Memorial Scholarship. Those who knew Lonni were impressed by her determination to complete her education and her love of children.
