Iowa Lakes Community College Awards Palo Alto County Golf Outing Scholarships

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2004-05 Palo Alto County Golf Outing Scholarships.

The recipients include Latasha Bleckwenn of Cylinder; Joey Cother, McKayla Hemmingsen, William Knoer, Kyle Lindahl, Melissa Preston, Steven Schany and Nicole Williamson of Ruthven; Marsha Duhn, Michele Firkins, Dulcie Handeland, Colleen Hart, Jeff Headley, Jon Lapczenski, Megan Moffitt, Douglas Schneider, Ashley Walsh, Jill Whitener, Jessica Wickman and Thomas Wise of Emmetsburg; Elizabeth Hauge and Sheila Kulow of Graettinger; Lucas Parsons of Fenton; and, Anna Terveer of Ayrshire.

The Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation, with the help of the staff of the Emmetsburg Campus and several Iowa Lakes employees, coordinate an annual fund-raising golf outing. Many community members and businesses sponsor or attend the event showing their support of Iowa Lakes and its students. Proceeds go to Palo Alto County student scholarships and programs. Applicants may be traditional or non-traditional students and must attend the Emmetsburg Campus full time and retain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
