Iowa Lakes Community College Awards
The National Science Foundation Infinity Scholarships

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2004-05 National Science Foundation Scholarships.

The recipients are Derek Anthofer of Coon Rapids; Shannon Baker, Margaret Schouten, Mary Heskett Rickard, Tom Rutledge and Garrett Schroeder of Estherville; Jared Bargman of West Bend; Leslie Benavidez of Albuquerque, N.M.; Ryan Berven of Ringsted; James Boge of Marathon; John Eggena of Greene; Tina Ellingson, Doug Frederick and Ryan Warren of Spencer; Samantha Fahrmann of Cylinder; Andrew Gappa and Chad Jenkinson of Emmetsburg; Brandon Harris of Spencer; Nichole Hendricksen of Lakefield, Minn.; John Holland of Audubon; Ross Ingwersen of Lake Park; Jeff Kennedy, Jeffrey Ondler and Cody Tungland of Spirit Lake; Kyle Landers of Bristow, Minn.; Nicole Norell of St. Peter, Minn.; Nicholas Ohnmacht of Blanchard, Minn.; Laura O’Neil of Jackson, Minn.; Elisha Orthmann of Sutherland; Samantha Rohr of Lakeville; Rachel Rouse of Curlew; Robin Sander-Albertson of Whittemore; Steven Schany of Ruthven; Margaret Schramm of Phoenix, Ariz.; Aaron Smith of Cedar Rapids; Jason Smith of Bedford; Stacie Stindtman of Blue Earth, Minn.; Nicole Thiessen of Everly; Ashley VanWyk of Monroe; Shane VonHoldt Jr. of Superior; William Wegner of Dolliver; Byron Wellendorf of LuVerne; Joshua Williams of South Sioux City, Neb.; Justin Williams of Pocahontas; Daniel Rathe of Dunkerton; Mary Wernimont of Sioux Rapids; Truc Ho of Madison Lake, Minn.; and, Laura Shanafelt of Sioux City.

Traditional or non-traditional full-time students enrolled in the Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Forensics, Information Technology, Pre-Engineering, or Pre-Mathematics programs are eligible for these scholarships. Students must achieve a high school GPA of 2.25, maintain an Iowa Lakes GPA of 2.5 or better and enroll in the Infinity Scholars Course. Support for these scholarships is provided by the National Science Foundation’s Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics scholarship program under grant DUE #0204123.
