JONES NAMED NATIONAL CO-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

An Iowa Lakes Community College softball player has been named 'Co-Athlete of the Week' in the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Erin Jones, Cedar Rapids, led Iowa Lakes to a 7-2 record last week, going 12 of 29 from the plate.  She collected 13 RBIs, four doubles, one triple, four home runs and scored 14 runs on the week. Jones collected multiple hits in four games, including a 3-for-5 performance against Iowa Western Community College.

Jones is a freshman at Iowa Lakes.

 The Laker women play again this Friday against NIACC in an afternoon doubleheader in Mason City.
