IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE HOSTS CLAY COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP GOLF OUTING IN JUNE

The date for the 2004 Clay County Scholarship Golf Outing is fast approaching, according to the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation Office.

Proceeds from the June 4 event will fund scholarships for Clay County residents attending Iowa Lakes Community College.

a.. This will be the first of five Iowa Lakes golf events; it will be held at the Spencer Municipal Golf Course on Friday, June 4.  Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

b.. The 18 hole event will feature the Best Shot Format and include flag contests and raffles.  Following the event there will be a short awards program and hors d'oeuvres.

Golf enthusiasts will want to watch for further details on the July and August Scholarship Golf Outings, which are scheduled for Heartland Hills of Estherville; Emerald Hills of Arnolds Park; Emmetsburg Country Club of Emmetsburg; and, Spring Valley of Livermore.

The Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation Office will receive registrations and hole sponsors until the day of the event.  Those interested in golfing or sponsoring a hole are asked to call 712-362-0425 or 1-800-242-5106 ext. 425.
