EMERGING SCHOLARS NAMED AT IOWA LAKES
COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Iowa Lakes Community
College is pleased to announce the names of three students who
qualify as Emerging Scholars for 2004.
Jennifer Klein, a Hotel
and Restaurant Management student from Emmetsburg; Robert Dillard
Jr., a Farm Equipment Technology student from Dickens; and Jared
Weber, a Construction Technology student from Terril all qualify
as Emerging Scholars.
Emerging Scholars have
taken two or more developmental classes, have earned 24 or more
credits at Iowa Lakes, and have earned a grade point average (GPA)
of 3.5 or better. These students will be honored at a reception
at the Emmetsburg Campus on April 22 and again at the college
Honors Convocation May 5 in Estherville.
All Emerging Scholars
submit an essay to be considered for "Emerging Scholar of the
Year." The Emerging Scholar of the Year has their named engraved
on a plaque and dues are paid to Phi Theta Kappa, an international
honor society.
