INCREASED ENROLLMENTS REPORTED AT IOWA LAKES
Another increase in
enrollment has been experienced at Iowa Lakes Community College.
This becomes the ninth consecutive fall term for an enrollment
record.
College officials
report overall enrollment is at 3,753 students – up 3.6 percent
from last fall.
Most of the growth this
year was reported in eCollege, which is ‘online’ coursework. The
eCollege courses saw the greatest increase – up nearly 170
percent.
Julie Carlson, Dean of
Enrollment Management, attributes the increase to a combined
effort of every college employee.
“The
increase in student enrollment is a result of the hard work and
dedication of faculty and staff at Iowa Lakes who are committed to
providing the highest quality programs and services to students,”
Carlson said.
Iowa Lakes offers more
than 100 areas of study at its five locations. In addition, the
college provides training and retraining to employees of area
business and industry as well as continuing education courses.
