IOWA LAKES HOSTS CAREER EXPLORATION DAY

Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting a Career Exploration Day on Oct. 7 from 9:15 a.m. until noon.  All area high school juniors and seniors are invited to visit career option programs at Iowa Lakes on the Estherville campus.

Students will have an opportunity to discover what these career programs have to offer.  They will partner with an Iowa Lakes student for hands-on experiences; explore the required classes for each program; determine how long will it take to receive their degree; and discover what job opportunities are available.  Career professionals will be available to describe their jobs and what it took to get them where they are today.  The event is designed to be a fun, fact-filled morning of educational opportunities.

Programs to be explored are: Aviation, Geographic Information Systems, Graphic Design and Technology, Human Services/Disability Studies, Journalism and Photography, Law Enforcement/Corrections/Computer Forensics, Legal Assistant and Recreation Specialist.

A complimentary lunch will be served at noon.
