IOWA
LAKES ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS PRESENTED
Two Iowa Lakes Community College students have been named
recipients of the 2003-2004 Alumni Scholarships.
Jessica Byriel is a full-time traditional Business Administration
and Management student attending the Estherville Campus. She
plans to transfer to a four-year college upon graduating from Iowa
Lakes in the summer of 2004.
"This scholarship will definitely help me financially, since I am
paying for my own college education," said Jessica, "I owe a lot
of thanks to the Alumni & Friends Association for choosing me."
Kyle Wagner now attends the Estherville campus as a full-time
traditional student and is planning to transfer to the University
of Iowa after he graduates from Iowa Lakes Community College this
coming spring.
He stated, "I, too, am responsible for financing my education.
Thanks to the association, this scholarship will relieve some of
my financial dependency on other funding."
This scholarship is offered annually by the Alumni & Friends
Association to alumni and/or children of alumni of Iowa Lakes
Community College. The Alumni Association was established in 1989
to maintain and promote loyalty to Iowa Lakes Community College as
well as support students through special activities and
scholarships.
Those interested in applying for this or other Iowa Lakes
Community College Scholarships or those wishing to establish a
