IOWA LAKES HOSTS 'INFORMATION AFTER HOURS'

Individuals thinking about changing careers will find answers to their questions at an "Information After Hours" at the Spencer Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College next week.

The come-and-go event will offer participants a chance to learn more about credit and non-credit classes, allied health careers, financial aid and scholarships, getting a GED, and, learning English through ESL classes.

"We are bringing additional staff to Spencer to visit with prospective students in person," said Kitty Conover, director of the Spencer Campus. "We should be able to help everyone with their transition to college or to facilitate access to our services."

The event will be Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 4-6 p.m. at the Spencer Campus of Iowa Lakes, 1900 N. Grand Ave.

The idea for the event came as a result of the closing of Heartland Beef. However, any interested individual is encouraged to attend this session.
