LAKERS SIGN IOWA FALLS STANDOUT
Tyler Whiley of Iowa Falls
has signed a National Junior College Letter of Intent to play
basketball at Iowa Lakes Community College.
The 6’2”, 170 pound guard
is expected to provide a strong outside shooting presence for Head
Coach Jason Vande Brake’s squad. “Tyler is a hard working young man
who has taken great strides from his junior to senior year,” Vande
Brake said. “Not only has Tyler shot the ball well, connecting on 45
percent of his attempts from behind the arc, he has done it on the
defensive end of the floor as well for Head Coach Kyle Hutchinson.”
As a senior at Iowa Falls
High School, Whiley averaged 18.5 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists per
game for the Cadets, while shooting 85 percent from the free throw
line.
Tyler is the son of Allen
and Kim Whiley and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts degree program
at Iowa Lakes Community College.
