Greg Stevens, a Milford resident, has received the Jim Hall Outstanding Alumni Award from the Iowa Lakes Community College Alumni & Friends Association.  In its 12th year, the award is presented annually to an alumnus who is outstanding in service to community, business, school, service clubs, etc. – a good representative of the college.

Greg Stevens, a 1980 graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College, received his degree in education at the University of South Dakota and currently is the State Representative of Iowa House District 6 where he is the Assistant Minority Leader.  He serves on several legislative committees including Agriculture and Education where he strongly supports community college funding. 

Stevens is currently an English instructor and Debate Team Coach at Okoboji Community High School where he has been honored in the past as Iowa’s Teacher of the Year.  He is involved with the Knights of Columbus, and coached his sons in Little League and served as President of the Little League Board in the past.
