EXECUTIVE DEAN CANDIDATES TO BE INTERVIEWED

Three individuals are interviewing for the position of Executive Dean at the Estherville Campus.

Those to be interviewed (in alphabetical order) are Donna Burgraff, Mary Mohni and Charles David Warner. 

Donna Burgraff, Ed.D., is currently the Southern Mountain Center Director at Marshall University in West Virginia where she has worked for the past four years.  Prior to that, she worked as an Assistant Dean of Instruction/Student Services at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.  She also has experience as a Talent Search Project Director; a Developmental Lab Coordinator and as an Associate Professor. Burgraff received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Eastern Kentucky University.  She has a second master’s degree from Marshall University and a doctor of education degree in educational administration from West Virginia University.  She will be in Estherville Sept. 18-19 for her interview.

The second person to be interviewed will be Charles David Warner, Ed.D., on Sept. 19-20.  Warner has served as the Humanities Chair at Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown, Maryland, for the past two years.  In 1983, Warner started at Hagerstown Community College as an adjunct professor of music.  He has also worked as a Coordinator of Off-Campus Programs and as a Professor of Music.  Preceding that work experience, he was an adjunct music professor at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and, also has experience with 4^th-8^th grade music students in Baltimore, Maryland.  Warner attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and received his bachelor’s degree from Shepherd College.  His master’s degrees were earned at Towson State University in Towson, Maryland; and, his doctor of education degree in community college education was earned at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.

On Sept. 25-26, Mary Mohni will be interviewed for the position of Executive Dean.  Mohni is the Director of Nursing Education and Coordinator of a Title III Grant at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.  Prior to that, she worked as an Outreach Director at Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar and as an Assistant Administrator at Community Memorial Hospital in Hartley.  She has also worked at Spencer Municipal Hospital as a Surgery Nurse.  Mohni received her nursing education from Briar Cliff College and St. Joseph School of Nursing in Sioux City.  She was awarded a bachelor’s degree from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake and a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota.  She is a doctoral candidate in education at Kennedy-Western University in Thousand Oaks, California.

These individuals were selected to be interviewed following a nationwide search.  Currently, Dr. Dave Nixon is serving as the Interim Executive Dean of the Estherville Campus.
