IOWA LAKES RECEIVES IOWA ARTS COUNCIL GRANT

Iowa Lakes Community College has been awarded an “Arts in Education Project Grant” from the Iowa Arts Council for its production of an Elizabethan Madrigal Feaste.  The grant is awarded to artists, educators, schools and organizations to support arts education opportunities that create new programs or expand or enhance existing programs in Iowa schools and communities. 

$1,000 was awarded to the Iowa Lakes Music Department to assist in its production.  The Elizabethan Madrigal Feaste will be held on Saturday, December 7^th and Sunday, December 8^th, 2002 - reservations will be taken soon – call (712) 362-7919 for more information.
