ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS NAMED

The Iowa Lakes Community College Alumni & Friends Association has announced Allison Bradley of Armstrong and Will Horsley of Emmetsburg as the 2002-2003 Alumni Scholarship recipients.  The Alumni Scholarship is offered annually to alumni and/or children of alumni of Iowa Lakes Community College.

Allison stated, “As a non-traditional student supporting myself and son, this award will help ease the financial burden of returning to school.  I would like to thank the association for this award.”  Allison is earning her degree in arts and sciences at the Estherville Campus and plans to transfer to South Dakota State University to finish her degree in civil engineering.

With plans of transferring to Iowa State University or entering the military service, Will is currently finishing the Sales and Marketing Management program at the Emmetsburg Campus as a full-time traditional student.  “Receiving this award is truly an honor, the Alumni & Friends Association helps make it easier for students to attain their goals,” said Will.

The Alumni Association was established in 1989, to maintain and promote loyalty to Iowa Lakes Community College as well as support students through special activities and scholarships.  The association has grown into the Iowa Lakes Alumni & Friends Association.
