REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHES ON ‘METH & MORE’ SYMPOSIUM

The deadline is nearing for registering for a Methamphetamine symposium planned in Emmetsburg Nov. 15.

Individuals are encouraged to register by Nov. 11 since this is expected to be a popular seminar and there is a limit on the number of seats available.

The “Meth & More” symposium is being co-sponsored by Palo Alto County Health System and Iowa Lakes Community College. 

Featured speaker is Chuck Larson Sr., the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa.  Other speakers include two representatives of the Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy, an emergency room physician, local law enforcement personnel, Division of Narcotics Enforcement agents and a drug treatment counselor. 

The “Meth & More” Symposium will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Smith Wellness Center located Emmetsburg Campus.  Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.  Rolls and coffee will be available.  An afternoon, two-hour supervisor training will begin at 12:45 p.m.  A certificate of attendance will be given to all participants and Continuing Education credits are available.
