IOWA LAKES STUDENTS BEGIN A DRILL TEAM CLUB

On Tuesday, November 12th, eight students from Iowa Lakes gave their first ever drill team performance. Khanya Gwebu, Stephanie Ung, Jackie Stoos, and Bobbi Rohwer began the drill team. With the help of Mari Miller Burns, the group took their idea to the board of trustees and the student senate.

After holding tryouts in September, the club began to practice. The group is made up of Bobbi Rohwer – Captain of Okoboji; Katie Muir – Lieutenant of Sioux City; Tessa McNickle of Alden; Kayla Richardson of Storm Lake; Lacy Anderson of Eagle Grove; Kory Champine of Armstrong; Brooke Craig of Armstrong; and, Crystal Daner of Fairmont, Minnesota.

Team members are doing many different fundraisers to help with the purchase of their uniforms. They will be performing at half time of most of the men’s and women’s basketball games.
