Senior Fun & Wellness Day

The event begins at 7:45 a.m. with registration, wellness and resource information, coffee and continental breakfast. The first keynote begins at 9 a.m. The second keynote speaker follows lunch. The day will close with door prizes at 2 p.m.

The Senior Fun and Wellness Day is sponsored by Iowa Lakes Community College and the Palo Alto County Health System. It is funded in part by a grant from the Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation.

The event will be held at the Bancroft Golf Course with a four person best ball tournament format beginning with registration and lunch at 11 am.

Shotgun start begins at 12 pm.

Entry fee is $75 per golfer and includes green fee, cart, entry gift and meal.

Heldt-Laker Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing

9 Holes. This outing memorializes long-time Athletic Department Assistant, Linda Heldt, who battled pancreatic cancer courageously before succumbing in 2007.

Proceeds from the event benefit Iowa Lakes student-athletes.

The event will be held at the Estherville Golf Course, with a four person best ball-scramble tournament format.

Registration begins at 8 am with a 9 am shotgun start. Entry fee is $100 per golfer.

3rd Annual Scholarship Tractor Ride

The Tractor Ride was inaugurated in conjunction with the Iowa Lakes Farm Field Day and Expo to raise scholarship funds for Iowa Lakes students enrolled in agriculture programs.

The first ride included 30 tractors.

The Ride ends at the Iowa Lakes College Farm so riders can participate in the Annual Farm Field Day and Expo.

Shuttles will run from the farm to the college. Entry fee is $25 per rider.

2nd Annual Car Cruise

The 2010 event began at the Emmetsburg campus with old-fashioned A&W Root Beer floats. From there, drivers headed to the Algona campus for games. The event ended at the Estherville campus where participants dined “student style”.

Entry fee is $25 per rider 12+ years and $10 per rider ages 2-11 years.
