Summer Game Design Camp Planned at Iowa Lakes

A daytime game design camp is planned for this summer on the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.

Individuals interested in creating computer games will want to take advantage of this camp which will teach the basics of computer programming, graphic design, math, and physics necessary to bring ideas to life.

The camp coursework follows a nationally recognized STEM Fuse GAME:IT curriculum.

All class participants will experience hands-on coursework.

The day camp is scheduled from June 23 through June 26 on the Estherville Campus from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No prior experience is necessary. Participants, who sign up before April 1, get a discounted price of $150.  After that, the price goes to $200.  Lunch is included each day and maximum class size is 24 people.

 Curriculum is suggested for 9th – 12th graders. Students will compete for a grand prize of a PlayStation  4. Space is limited so early registrations are encouraged.
