A retirement reception will be held in Spirit Lake on Monday, June 10, for two long-time employees of Iowa Lakes Community College.
Marilyn Fleming, Assistant to the Campus Supervisor at Spirit Lake, has worked for the college for 17 years. She started in Continuing Education at the Estherville Campus, and proctored classes in Spirit Lake before accepting the Assistant position. Marilyn plans to spend more time with her grandchildren, give her flower garden more attention, and travel with her husband.
Ray Schley, Custodial/Maintenance at the Spirit Lake campus, has worked for the college for 12 years. The staff and students credit him with keeping the campus clean and beautiful for everyone. Ray plans to visit family in Arizona, Minnesota, and Chicago as well as watch more baseball.
“Both retirees have been valuable to the Spirit Lake Campus, and will be greatly missed,” commented Heather Asmus, Spirit Lake Campus Supervisor.

The reception will be at the Spirit Lake Campus, room 129 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM with a short program at 2:30 P.M.
Former and current students, community members as well as current and past college faculty and staff are invited to attend the reception.
