The Iowa Lakes Community College Wrestling team will host 5th ranked Iowa Western on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.
This is the last home meet of the season for the Lakers and should be well worth the trip to the gym.
“We have 2 individuals ranked in the top 12 of their respective weight classes and Iowa Western will bring in 8,” Head Coach Cody Alesch said.
The next action for the Laker wrestling is Saturday Dec. 8 at the Dick Walker Invite in Waverly before a long break that Coach Alesch said is needed.
“We have had several injuries early and are trying to get healthy,” he said. “After this weekend we have Christmas break which will give us the time to get healthy before we return and compete at the National Duals in Springfield, Ill. in early January.”
