Dr. Glenn Rogers, Professor of Philosophy and Social Sciences at Iowa Lakes Community College, has just published his third philosophy textbook in three years.
His latest offering is entitled, “Philosophical Musings: Thirteen Questions That Provide a Topical Introduction to Philosophy.” The paperback edition is published by Simpson and Brook, Publishers. An eBook edition published by National Social Sciences Press will be released in August. Professor Rogers will use the eBook edition as the textbook for his Introduction to Philosophy course.
Last year he wrote, “21st Century Ethics: An Introduction to Moral Philosophy.” The year before he wrote, “Proof of God? Inquiries Into The Philosophy Of Religion, A Concise Introduction.”
Dr. Rogers has already begun a new writing project. It’s a critical thinking textbook entitled, ‘Critical Thinking: Understanding The Principles And Processes of Thinking Well.’
In addition to writing textbooks, he typically teaches six or seven classes each semester and well as teaching classes in the summer. Professor Rogers is also the faculty advisor for the Philosophy Club and leads a group of students each spring break on a trip to Europe.
