Many area golf enthusiasts attended the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation’s Kossuth County Scholarship Golf Outing on Friday, June 1, at the North Kossuth Golf Course in Bancroft.
The event featured a nine-hole, four-person team ‘best shot’ tournament format. The first flight went to Team Larson, second flight to the Security State Bank team, and third flight to Team Stokes. Flag contest winners included: Longest Putt – Jon Grether and Erin Rogers; Longest Drive – Todd Sewick and Trudy Ahrens; Closest to the Pin – Jeff Soper. All proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships for students residing in Kossuth County to attend Iowa Lakes Community College.
Annette Hawkins left the big winner, winning both an iPad2 and two Executive Suite tickets to a Minnesota Timberwolves Game (transportation included).
