Art exhibits created by Iowa Lakes Community College students will be on display for the sixth year in a row at the Pearson Lakes Art Center, Okoboji, this month.
The exhibit opens on Monday, April 8. An Open House Reception will be held on Thursday, April 11 from 5 to 7 p.m.
“Come and enjoy tasty treats and see the outstanding art the students created” said Pam Tschetter, Journalism and Photography Associate Professor. “At the reception some of the artists who submitted their work will be available to discuss their art with the public.”
On display will be black and white (film) photography, digital photography, paintings and graphic design artwork.
Iowa Lakes has Associate in Science degrees in Journalism and Photography, as well as Graphic Design and Technology and offers a number of art and photography courses.
Instructors include: Byron Lindell, Art Professor; Pam Tschetter, Journalism and Photography Associate Professor; Debbie Wilson, Graphic Design Associate Professor; and, Dave Petrick, Instructor of Photography.
The public is invited to attend the reception on Thursday, April 11, or visit the exhibit which will be on display from April 8 through May 4.
