A retirement reception that was postponed due to one of the recent April snowstorms has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 9 in Estherville.
Seven long-time employees of Iowa Lakes Community College will be honored.
Lynn Dodge, Success Center Professor, has been with the college for 17 years.
Linda Kautz, Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students in Estherville, has been with the college for 33 years.
Sandy Naig, Food Service Coordinator in Estherville, has been with the college for 21 years.
Nancy Schendel, Math Professor/C.P.A., has taught at the college for 29 years.
Pam Tschetter, Associate Professor Photo/Journalism, has been with the college for 12 years.
Jim Weipert, Sociology Professor, has been an instructor at the college for 15 years.
Al Wudel, Television Center Engineer, Estherville, has been with the college for 30 years.
The Estherville reception will be from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Estherville Iowa Lakes gymnasium. A short program will be held at 3 p.m.
Others retiring from Iowa Lakes this spring include Marilyn Fleming, Assistant to the Campus Supervisor, Spirit Lake; Clark Marshall, Executive Director of Continuing Education and Economic Development; Sandra Naig, College Bookstore Coordinator, Emmetsburg; Colleen Peltz, Developmental Studies Professor, Emmetsburg; Ray Schley, Custodial/ Maintenance, Spirit Lake; Nancy Schoenewe, Communications Professor, Spencer; Ann VanDeWalle, Food Service, Estherville; Augie Von Behren, Custodial/ Maintenance, Estherville; Bernie Wise, Director of Nursing & Health Education, Emmetsburg; Al Wudel, Television Center Engineer, Estherville; Jeanne Wunder, Allied Health Professor, Algona; Steve Farnsworth, Welding Faculty; Greg Poe, Farm Supervisor; Greg Reimer, Associate Professor of Information Technology; and Bob Roethler, Emmetsburg Housing Coordinator.
Former and current students, community members as well as current and past college faculty and staff are invited to attend the reception.
