Craig Evert Memorial Wind Energy Scholarship Established at Iowa Lakes Community College

July 12, 2013

Craig’s sudden death prompted his family to consider how best to continue his love for learning and his passion for renewable energy. His family felt a scholarship, in his name, supporting future students in the Wind Energy & Turbine Technology program at Iowa Lakes, was a wonderful way to do so.
“Iowa Lakes’ program is one of the premier programs in the USA and we’re proud to help further the program with this scholarship fund,” said Kathy Evert. “We were grateful for the generous memorials honoring Craig and are pleased to establish this scholarship. Craig encouraged others to continuously learn. We hope this scholarship fund will help others achieve their dreams by pursuing a career in wind energy, starting at Iowa Lakes.”
Friends, colleagues, students, alumni and college staff have honored Craig’s dedication and love of teaching and learning through donations to this endowed scholarship fund.
