OneSearch   OneSearch: With OneSearch you can search any or all of the library's databases and resources simultaneously with just one search. Remote access is not available at this time.

EBSCO EBSCO: EBSCO offers a number of full text databases with many peer reviewed, scholarly journals and general periodicals. Check out the  EBSCO website for a complete list of databases.  College students may obtain remote access to EBSCO by coming to the library and getting the username and password.

Gale Databases  

Gale Databases provide access to a variety of databases.  Included are:  Expanded Academic which meets research needs across all academic disciplines; Academic OneFile, a source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources; Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center which covers the pros and cons of everything from ongoing controversies to today’s hot topics; Health Reference Center Academic with access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals;  and numerous specialized collections.  For remote access, check in the library.


Facts on File  

Facts on File News Services includes the following:  World News Digest bringing together nearly seven decades of news; Issues and Controversies exploring more than 800 hot topics in business, politics, government, education, and popular culture; Issues and Controversies in American History which builds a deeper understanding of how historical events have shaped our nation by exploring the key players and the battles they fought; and Today’s Science bridging the gap between the science that students learn in the classroom and the discoveries pushing the boundaries of science today.


CQ Researcher CQ Researcher Online contains reports and analysis of issues in the news. Each 13,000-word report is a unique work, investigated and written by an experienced journalist. The online backfile extends to 1991. Check in the library for remote access.

netLibrary netLibrary:  netLibrary is a web-based system for accessing and retrieving over 3,000 full text reference, scholarly and professional books. Users may search netLibrary to read or browse eBooks. By creating an account, users can “check-out” an eBook or access the eBook collection from outside the college via the Internet.

NoodleTools   NoodleTools: With NoodleTools students may generate, edit, and publish an MLA Works Cited list or APA References list that complies with the rules of the current MLA Handbook and APA Publication Manual.  NoodleBib takes care of punctuation, alphabetization and formatting, producing a polished source list for import into Word. A student who enters NoodleBib remotely will be prompted to log in to the school/library account when he/she clicks "Create new folder" on the login screen.  For remote access, user name and password is available in the library.

Grolier Online   Grolier Online:  Included in the database is Encyclopedia Americana which is updated quarterly. Grolier Multimedia is based on the text of Academic American Encyclopedia. Lands and People Online includes a full complement of maps, flags, web links and internal articles. The New Book of Popular Science includes articles on science, technology and medical topics. Students may check in the library for remote access.

WILBOR   WILBOR: Use your library barcode to check out and download best-selling titles to your personal computer.  Then you can transfer the title to your MP3 player, iPod, or in some cases burn to a CD.

Credo Reference logo  

Credo Reference is a full-text online reference service. The collection includes over three million entries from over four hundred titles of the world’s best reference publishers. Credo’s collection is integrated with millions of cross-references and contains dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, thesauri, encyclopedias, quotations and atlases, plus a wide range of subject-specific titles covering everything from art to accountancy, science to Shakespeare and law to literature.  Off-campus address available in the library.
