The Iowa Lakes Community College head women’s basketball coach Nicole Bullock is honored to announce the signing of Allyson Sherdan to join the Laker basketball program this fall.

Sherdan, a 6-foot forward from John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minn., played a major role in her teams’ 9-9 conference record on the year.  She was a three-year starter for the Rockets; in her sophomore year she averaged 6 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals; as a junior she added 7 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, 4 assists and 2 steals; during her senior season she averaged 9 points, 9 boards, 6 assists and 2 steals.

“We are delighted to have Allyson become a member of the team,” commented Coach Bullock.  “Her ability to play both on the perimeter and in the paint gives us instant flexibility.  She also brings a high basketball IQ and level of toughness to our team.”

Sherdan was a section medalist in track as a sophomore and junior; running the 100, 200, 4x100 and 4x200.

Allyson is the daughter of Dave and Beth Sherdan.  She is planning to major in Athletic Training at Iowa Lakes.
