The Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams will be back in action Wednesday, Nov. 9, when they host Minnesota West Community College at the Laker Gymnasium on the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
Both teams are 1-1 on the season with losses to Dordt JV on Nov. 2, and then sweeping both the men’s and women’s games Monday night against Northwestern JV. The women outlasted the Red Raiders in double overtime 98-93; while the men controlled the game throughout winning 93-83.
The Laker men are led offensively by sophomore Eric Allison, Milwaukee, Wisc., who is averaging 17 points after two games. Sophomore Shane Woods, Milwaukee, Wisc., and freshman Mark Rangeley, Manchester, England, average 15 and 10 points respectively.
The Laker women are led by sophomore Emma-Kate Gibson, Tuggerah, Australia, and freshman Mykal Suggs, St. Paul, Minn., at 18 points per game.
