Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting Des Moines Area Community College in a Women’s and Men’s Basketball doubleheader Wednesday, February 8, at the Iowa Lakes gymnasium in Estherville. The Women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Men at 7:30 p.m.
The Laker women are currently 5 – 15 on the season and 0-10 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). They are led in scoring by Samera Williams, averaging 10 points per game. DMACC is 18 – 4 on the year and 7-2 in the ICCAC.
The Laker men are currently 11 – 11 on the season and 3 – 5 in the ICCAC after a recent 80 – 82 barn burner at NIACC. The Lakers are lead in scoring by Eric Allison and Mark Rangeley, both averaging 12 points per game. The Lakers are averaging 76 points per game this season. DMACC is ranked 7th in the NJCAA Div. II with a 5 – 2 record in the ICCAC. At half time of the Men’s game there will be two performances by the Patin Dancers.
