Two Iowa Lakes Volleyball players have been named All Americans.
Iowa Lakes sophomores Xiao Liang and Le Mi were named to the 2011 NJCAA DII All-America team on Thursday by the NJCAA.
Liang was selected First Team All-American for the second consecutive year ranking #14 in Hitting Efficiency, #4 in Blocks Per Set and #17 in Kills Per Set.
Mi was selected Second Team All-American for the second consecutive year ranking #23 in Hitting Efficiency and #2 in Blocks Per Set.
The two helped lead the Lakers to a fifth place finish at the National Tournament, defeating Central Community College out of Columbus, Neb., in three sets in their final games. The two players helped lead the Lakers to a combined 75-17 record over the two years with two conference regular season titles, two region championships and two national tournament appearances.
The NJCAA reports the selections were made by each division's respective volleyball committee over the past week.
