The Iowa Lakes Community College Dance team is preparing for their debut season. The Lakers have numerous performances scheduled already.
“Our Varsity and JV members will be performing at home sporting events including: volleyball, wrestling and men’s and women’s basketball,” Head Coach Danie Juhl said. “We will also be competing at the Iowa State Drill Team Association’s State Championship in November.”
Coach Juhl is looking forward to her student-athletes having countless opportunities to show their abilities.
“Since we are a new program, I hope each team member has a stand-out year and we can grow from here,” she said. “In addition to our Varsity/Competition squad members, who are already in place, our JV members will have the opportunity to try-out for our competition team throughout the year.”
This season will be about gaining recognition for the Lakers dance team.
“I look forward to getting our name out there, especially at the competition in November where all Iowa high school and colleges will be in attendance,” Juhl said.
