The Iowa Lakes Community College volleyball team is planning a ‘Think Pink’ night for their last regular season home game on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
Players will wear warm-up T-shirts which feature the breast cancer awareness ribbon with ‘Lakers’ on the front and ‘Think Pink’ on the back of the shirts. Additional shirts were purchased and will be on sale Monday through Wednesday (Oct. 24-26) from 10-11 a.m. in The Max on the Estherville campus. Shirts cost $10 with the proceeds being donated to breast cancer research.
The Lakers, who are ranked fifth in the country in Division II, will play North Iowa Area Community College at 7 p.m. that evening.
Since this is the last home match-up of the regular season, organizers are encouraging Laker fans to “Pack the Gym” that evening. The Lakers are 25-8 overall and 5-0 in conference play. Admission is free for area K-12 students. Adult admission is $5.
