Iowa Lakes Community College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Nicole Bullock is proud to announce the signing of Aliyah Gipson to a National Junior College Letter of Intent. She will be joining the Laker basketball program this fall.
Gipson, a 6-foot power forward from Riverside University High School in Milwaukee, Wis., was selected second team All-Conference as a sophomore; first team All-Conference as a junior and a senior; was a key component to her team’s state championship, conference championship, and overall record of 22-4 this past season.
“We are very pleased with the signing of Aliyah. She comes from a state championship team out of Milwaukee,” Bullock said when asked about Gipson joining the lineup. “Her size and length will have an instant impact on this team as she brings a great ability to rebound and defend on the low block.”
Gibson also competed in volleyball in high school. She was named second team All-Conference as a senior.
Aliyah is the daughter of Jeanette Fecinen and Steve Gipson. She is planning to major in Criminal Justice at Iowa Lakes.
